· Married to my bride, Kay, 43 years

  • 2 sons, 2 daughters, 8 grandchildren


· Colonel, U. S. Army, Retired, with 26 years of service

· Executive Pastor at First Baptist Church Belton for 20 years

· CARE Network member since its formation by mayors of Belton & Temple over 18 years ago

· Body of Christ Community Clinic – Initial Chairman; former Vice-Chair, serving over six year

· Member of the Belton Police Department Citizen’s Police Academy Class #2

· Belton High School Class of ’68; Letterman in Football and Basketball

· Texas A&M ’72, Distinguished Military Graduate, Regular Army Commission as 2LT of Infantry

  • Manage growth while maintaining our historic character and sense of community
  • Keep tax rates low through careful budgeting, actively seeking grants and pursuing partnerships
  • Ensure we keep our first responders and entire staff well led, trained, equipped, compensated and adequately staffed
  • Invest as much as we can afford in aging infrastructure (roads, water, sewer, sidewalks, etc.) and quality of life needs (hike and bike trails, water recreation, park expansion, etc).
